The main features of this camera is:
- 7.2 Mega Pixels with Super HAD CCD
The higher the mega pixels, the better its quality. CCD or Charge Coupled Device is a common type of image sensor which has thousands of pixels and enables it to detect red, blue and green lighting.

With this lens built-in your camera, this would be able to achieve better quality of the picture. In addition to its optical zoom, whenever your camera focuses on the target more, it doesn’t lose its resolution and still maintains the integrity of the picture taken.

- BIONZ Image Processing Engine
A built-in high speed processing used to reduce the camera’s noise and keeps the integrity of the colors intact.
- Double “Anti-blur” Solution: Super SteadyShot
A cool feature in which enables the camera to take a stable shot while zooming when the image tends to blur due to the camera’s shake. Under this, there are two types of SSS: an electronic type and an optical type. The electronic type has the ability to adjust the camera shake therefore increasing the read out of the CCD for better imaging quality. And the optical type mainly affects the lens. It uses the sensors to detect the shake and then shift the lens to the opposite direction of the shake thereby producing a quality picture.
- Face Detection Technology for Children and Adults
Another handy feature. This allows the camera to select proper exposure, focus, color balance and flash controls to obtain the highest possible quality of the picture and allowing to have more accuracy in the facial features.
- Smile Shutter
The smile detector. Very cool feature also. Whenever the camera detects a smile, it automatically releases the shutter. In addition to the face detection, this has a sensor that allows it to detect and understand the facial features and location.
- User-friendly function guide that even beginners like me find it very easy to use.
- HD Slide Show with Select Music Playback
Sit back and enjoy watching your pictures with family and friends and to get the mood going, you can select the right music background.
In addition to its almost complete features, the only downfall is that it has a very low internal memory of only 15MB which is, of course, compensated by an expandable memory. That is also why it’s not very much costly either. Memory is expensive.
I love looking at Sony’s cybershot cameras. I even ask the clerk if I could try out the features of the camera and luckily, they said yes. They had a sample always ready to be used by customers who want to check out the features and user-friendliness of the camera. I’m happy to say that I will buy this camera because I’m already contented of the features it has and it’s not to costly for money. Plus, it has four colors to choose from and a wide variety of accessories applicable for it.
