Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical Lens for Canon SLR Cameras

This Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical Lens is amazingly compact for the functionality even though it does indeed provide you with some extent when you zoom to the long distance in the range. The extension for long distance, accomplished by using a double trombone, originates out some 78mm, is able to provide you with more than doubling of the length by using this lens. The lens does so along with a fairly sleek action and the 2nd sleeve of the trombone carries markings to display the number of zoom in which the optic is reaching. The zoom ring of the lens will take care of about two-thirds of the barrel using the manual focus ring taking up the remainder.

Certain color as well as the sharpness captured by this Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical Lens not really impressive it you make a comparison with other Canon lenses such as the Canon EF-S 17-85 IS USM or Canon EF-100mm macro USM. Therefore, this lens is still having room for improvement. Even so, this is just my personal opinion as this lens is still able to gets most of the jobs done very well.

Focal Length of Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical Lens

The focal length for the lens is 28-300mm and it is features a f/3.5-6.3. The lens is very light weight and it can perform very well outdoor in bright to moderate sunlight condition. The macro and also the zoom features are both fantastic.

In cases where you want a basic purpose lens to attach to your DSLR camera, and do not have the need to use the long end but would love to have the option available so that you don’t have to keep changing different lenses, then this lens may possibly be the piece that you should get. Excellent performance with the shorter half of the range for this lens would be just somewhat disappointed at the long end, and having a closest focus distance of just 0.5 meter throughout, this Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG IF Macro Aspherical Lens turns out to be even more adaptable.

To sum up, the advantages for using the 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Macro lens would be:
- Compact and lightweight
- Long focal range
- Good investment for your money
- Well performance with the short end feature

Disadvantages of using this lens would be:
- The tad tend to get soften with longer settings
- Chromatic aberrations across the edges at the longer lengths
