Excellent review. It’s very rare to find a person who takes the time to sit for over 5 minutes and tell you things. Plus, I think the review is very beginner-friendly…although they might lean towards a zoom. I personally hate zooms. Can’t stand them. My 50mm f/1.8 has been on my D300s for the whole time I’ve had the camera…I never bother to take it off…It’s my go-to for everything. I have access to much more expensive zooms and primes…but I stubbornly stick to this prime.

This must be the non ‘D’ version, at first I saw the focus window on top of the lens and thought it was the 50*1.4. Good review though!

I have this lens, amazing for outdoor photography for close-ups. Love the 1.8 aperture to blow out the backgrounds. :D
