Nikon Coolpix P90 Digital Camera

The Nikon Coolpix P90 is almost indiscernible from most of its competitors, featuring a bulky, matte black chassis and rubberized grip, the regular for Super Zooms in this cost variety. This is really a chunky small beast, and we needed to lug it close to inside a little backpack simply because of its lumbering nature.

Nevertheless, the Coolpix P90 weighs in at just more than a pound so it did not really feel like we had been shackled to some mid-level DSLR. The weight reduction could be attributed towards the Coolpix P90′s plastic material entire body, which felt a little cheap in our hands. It was clear that Nikon sacrificed a small structural integrity in exchange for extra controls and functions.

Which is exactly where the 3-inch folding LCD comes into play, which we’ll get to within the subsequent section. The Nikon Coolpix P90 also has an electronic viewfinder, but it is a difficult plastic material box devoid of an eye socket-approved rubberized texture. We liked the migration from the thumb dial for simple guide adjustment and also the oversized shutter button zoom toggle supplied lots of surface region. Nikon opted for any spring-loaded Flash, situated straight above the lens, which is definitely an optimal placement for an even spread of light. Surprisingly, external controls are pretty restricted about the Coolpix P90, and we needed to depend on menus anytime we ventured outside of the Guide mode.

The Nikon Coolpix P90 will crank out some stunning detail when correctly focused and exposed. The 6 Train to hell is captured in all of its glory, correct down towards the mystery crumbs occupying half from the focal plane. Nevertheless, this image appears a little yellow, and which is all about the Car White Balance for not obtaining it is act together. The macro shot from the grass blades is really a stunning instance from the exceptional detail the Coolpix P90 is capable of generating, but we’re also released to some dash of fringing along particular blades. Nevertheless, each of these pictures are really great.

Like:

Fairly speedy; tiltable LCD; two custom settings slots on mode dial.

Dislike:

Subpar photo high quality; bad battery existence.

…yeah, and if you’re trying to shoot ugly people the camera actually says fuck you, which is like another really cool feature :) oh, and one of the major retailers recommended at the end (compusa) is no longer in business where I live. But seriously, nice review, really :) )

A dslr has a censor that is like 10 or more times bigger than this shitty p90, thats why you need a biglens to support a big censor

my soz, p90 is a great camera. Lol
