Sony DSC-W120/P Cybershot W120 Digital Camera

The Sony DSC W120 is a 7 megapixel digital camera having a 4x optical zoom lens. This camera is simple to make use of and is small sufficient to fit into a pocket.

Outdoor Portrait

This is a typical outdoor portrait shot. Although I’ve utilized a cloudy white balance setting to match the conditions I would still like to possess seen much more depth towards the colours in this shot.
Indoor Portrait with Flash

Without a doubt this is my favourite portrait shot used with this digital camera. What really impresses me may be the quantity of colour retained in the photo, particularly whenever you consider other digital cameras I have reviewed, can create shots that appear washed out when the flash is on.

Indoor Portrait without Flash

This really is an additional great work. There’s plenty of detail in the photo considering there’s less lighting obtainable than for that outdoor portrait shot.

Colors

I’m pleased with the colors the camera produces. They have a natural feel to them and are a fair representation from the colors in every scene when the pictures were used.

Macro

When you look via my factors for purchasing the DSC W120 Sony digital camera, becoming capable to take excellent macro shots won’t be about the list. This really is simply because if anybody is serious about close up work they would have to be ready to invest a fair bit much more on the digital camera than they would need to with this particular one. Therefore it’s a bonus to note that the DSC W120 is capable of getting a decent macro shot. You will find good levels of detail and clarity showing in my check image.

ISO 400

How the camera performs at higher ISO settings depends to some large degree about the quantity of light obtainable in the time. If problems are vibrant then image high quality is good. A drop off in light means a loss of quality. Therefore if you’re using higher ISO to freeze movement on the bright day you will attain much better results than if you’re using ISO to overcome a lack of lighting inside a scene.

ISO 1600

Not surprisingly similar, but more severe results occur at ISO 1600. I have seen much better results from other digital cameras.

General

I do have 1 or two concerns about the amounts of sharpness when scene are distant. Putting individuals qualms aside the DSC W120Sony digital camera does a steady work and manages to obtain to grips with most situations.

The Sony DSC W120 handles most snap shot circumstances well. It does struggle for sharpness in locations as soon as the topic gets distant. You can’t have everything in the price although and if you’re looking for a cheaper pocket camera the DSC W120 still does a decent job.

There isn’t anything you can do, Sony has limited the recording time to 10 minutes on the camera. So unless you can modify the firmware, you’re going to need to get a different camera. At least if you want to record longer than 10 minutes.
